Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Infrastructure Engineer - Frontend to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA. As a Full Stack Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the frontend infrastructure that supports Plaid's developer platform. You'll work closely with backend engineers and product managers to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly tools and services. This role requires a strong understanding of frontend technologies, infrastructure principles, and a passion for building high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain frontend infrastructure components that support Plaid's developer platform.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define and implement APIs and data models.
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our engineering practices.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Contribute to the automation of infrastructure deployment and scaling.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.
  • Document processes and best practices for remote team collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a focus on infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with building and deploying scalable web applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in a remote setting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Technical Requirements

As a fully remote employee, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

  • Home Office Setup: A dedicated, quiet workspace free from distractions.
  • Internet Speed: A stable, high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload and download speed of 25 Mbps.
  • Equipment: Plaid will provide a laptop and necessary equipment, including a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. A home office stipend will be provided to assist with setting up your workspace.
  • Time Zone: While Plaid embraces flexible working hours, some overlap with PST business hours (9 AM - 5 PM PST) is required for meetings and collaboration.
  • Communication Tools: Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this remote Full Stack Infrastructure Engineer - Frontend position is $160,000 - $220,000, depending on experience and location within the USA. In addition to competitive salary, Plaid offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
