Position Summary
Ro is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our growing Cloud Infrastructure team. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our infrastructure is scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective. This is a fully remote position, and you can work from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, focusing on automation and scalability.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for software deployment and infrastructure changes.
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization and improvement.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards in the cloud environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the availability and stability of our systems.
- Contribute to the documentation and knowledge base for cloud infrastructure and operations.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and collaboration activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, particularly AWS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be located in the USA.
Technical Requirements
As a fully remote employee, you'll need to meet the following technical requirements:
- Home Office Setup: A dedicated and quiet workspace, free from distractions.
- Internet Speed: A reliable, high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps and download speed of 50 Mbps.
- Equipment: Ro will provide a company laptop and a home office stipend to help you set up your workspace.
- Communication Tools: Familiarity with communication tools like Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
- Time Zone: Must be available to work during core business hours within the Eastern Time Zone (ET) for effective team collaboration, though some flexibility is offered.
Desired Skills
- Experience with security tools and best practices in the cloud.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Experience with databases and data warehousing technologies.

- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- A strong desire to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Ro offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
