Position Summary

Okta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Business Development Manager focused on Customer Success to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As an Enterprise Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic initiatives to drive customer success and expansion within Okta’s enterprise customer base. You will work closely with Customer Success Managers, Sales teams, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding Okta’s footprint within existing accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, a strong understanding of the SaaS model, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing enterprise accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers to understand customer needs and identify opportunities to expand Okta’s solutions within their organization.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to develop and present compelling value propositions to customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within enterprise accounts.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on Okta’s products and services.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative remote work environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required for team meetups or customer visits (less than 10%).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or customer success, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving customer expansion.
  • Strong understanding of the SaaS business model and the customer lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales and marketing tools.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment, including managing your own time and staying connected with the team.
  • Reliable high-speed internet access is required.

Technical Requirements

As a fully remote employee, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional and productive home office environment. Okta provides a stipend to assist with setting up your home office. Specific technical requirements include:

  • Dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload).
  • A modern computer with sufficient processing power and memory.
  • Webcam and headset for virtual meetings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security in a remote environment.
  • Must be able to work during standard business hours in the US time zones. East Coast preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this fully remote position is $140,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and location within the United States. Okta offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
