Position Summary
Toptal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff IT Support Specialist with a focus on web applications to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our internal staff, ensuring smooth operations of our web-based applications and related systems. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional technical support to Toptal's internal staff via ticketing system, chat, and video conferencing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to web applications, including access problems, functionality errors, and performance bottlenecks.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within various web application platforms.
- Collaborate with other IT teams, including developers and system administrators, to resolve complex issues.
- Document technical solutions and create knowledge base articles for self-service support.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of new web applications and updates.
- Monitor web application performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify and escalate issues that require further attention.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of IT support processes and procedures.
- Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding processes for remote employees.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on web applications.
- Strong understanding of web application architectures and technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs).
- Experience with troubleshooting web application issues using browser developer tools and other diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency in managing user accounts and permissions within web application platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Must be located in the United States.
Technical Requirements
To be successful in this remote role, you will need:
- A dedicated home office space that is quiet and free from distractions.
- A reliable, high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload/download speed of 25 Mbps.
- A computer that meets Toptal's minimum hardware and software requirements.

Compensation & Benefits
