Position Summary

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Technical Writer - Frontend to join our dynamic Technology team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. The Staff Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation for our internal and external frontend applications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and accessibility for a diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Create clear, concise, and well-organized documentation that is easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain documentation repositories and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and readily available.
  • Participate in the review process for technical documentation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to the development of documentation standards and best practices.
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Utilize various documentation tools and technologies to create and manage documentation.
  • Identify and address documentation gaps and opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer, specifically focused on frontend technologies.
  • Strong understanding of frontend development concepts and technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Experience with documentation tools such as Confluence, Markdown, and Git.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote setting and possess strong self-motivation and time management skills.

Technical Requirements

As a fully remote employee, you are expected to maintain a professional and productive home office environment. This includes:

  • A dedicated and quiet workspace free from distractions.
  • A reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload/download speed of 25 Mbps.
  • A personal computer with sufficient processing power and memory to handle documentation tasks.
  • Proficiency in using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) for virtual meetings and collaboration.
  • Ability to work during core business hours (Eastern Time Zone) to facilitate collaboration with the team.

Desired Skills

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this fully remote Staff Technical Writer - Frontend position is $85,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
