Position Summary

Southern is seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed architectural designs, drafting plans, and collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, 2D/3D modeling, and a deep understanding of building codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop architectural designs and detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
  • Interpret and translate architectural sketches and concepts into precise technical drawings.
  • Review and analyze blueprints, ensuring compliance with building codes and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to refine designs and resolve technical challenges.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions and project progress.
  • Conduct site evaluations and assessments as needed to support design development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design quality.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 12 years of professional experience in architectural design and drafting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for both 2D and 3D modeling.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction standards.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with architects, engineers, and project teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and accuracy in design work.

Required Education

A Post Graduate Degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field is required.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with BIM software such as Revit.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and LEED certification.
  • Strong visualization skills with the ability to present designs effectively.
  • Project management experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Southern offers a competitive salary range of $61,000 to $117,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and flexible remote work options.
