Position Summary
The Operations Manager will lead and optimize BEL’s remote supply chain and logistics functions. This role is responsible for overseeing inventory control, procurement, supplier relationship management, and data‑driven forecasting to ensure seamless operations across all business units. The Operations Manager will also assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive process improvements that align with BEL’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end‑to‑end supply chain strategies that support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement control mechanisms to minimize excess and obsolescence.
- Lead procurement activities, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
- Analyze operational data, generate forecasts, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Identify potential supply chain risks, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, finance, and quality assurance—to align operational goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rate, inventory turnover, and cost variance, and report findings regularly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other best‑practice methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 11 years of progressive experience in supply chain logistics, inventory control, and procurement.
- Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting tools.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Proven ability to lead remote teams and manage multi‑site operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel functions.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Desired Skills
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or PMP.
- Knowledge of defense industry standards and procurement regulations.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Experience with advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology and digital transformation initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range of $56,000 to $124,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
