Key Responsibilities for Pastoral Lead:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive pastoral care programme to support the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students.
- Coordinate and lead pastoral support teams to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address students' pastoral needs and safeguarding concerns.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of pastoral initiatives on student well-being and academic performance.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on pastoral issues and best practices.
- Act as a designated safeguarding lead and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a pastoral or safeguarding role within an educational setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of child development and well-being.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary for the Pastoral Lead position at Ofsted in Cardiff, Wales, ranges from £30,000 to £40,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
