Key Responsibilities For Pastoral Lead:
- Develop and implement pastoral care programmes to support the emotional and social well-being of students.
- Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to address pastoral issues effectively.
- Lead a team of pastoral staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pastoral support across the school.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of pastoral initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK.
- Proven experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Desired Skills:
- Postgraduate qualification in pastoral care or a related field.
- Experience in mentoring or coaching students to enhance their personal development.
- Knowledge of mental health issues affecting young people and strategies for support.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to promote student well-being.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
