Position Summary

Reed Smith is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Analytics Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States. As an Analytics Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making across the firm. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our business intelligence solutions, dashboards, and reports to support various business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using various BI tools such as Power BI.
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models and ETL processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting to support business initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively utilize BI tools and dashboards.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Actively participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proven experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with remote teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Must reside in the United States.

Technical Requirements

To be successful in this remote role, you will need:

  • A dedicated home office space free from distractions.
  • A reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload).
  • A personal computer with up-to-date operating system and sufficient processing power to run required software.
  • Headset with microphone for virtual meetings.
  • Ability to work during standard business hours in the Eastern Time Zone.
  • Reed Smith provides a one-time stipend for home office equipment upon successful completion of the onboarding process.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this remote Analytics Business Intelligence Analyst position is $85,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience. Reed Smith offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
