Key Responsibilities for Controller:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Supervise a team of finance professionals
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial management role
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in managing financial operations
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA
- Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm
- Knowledge of IFRS and international accounting standards
- Experience with ERP systems implementation
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Controller position at KPMG in Indianapolis, Indiana is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $110,000 to $140,000.
