Key Responsibilities for Corporate Accountant:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for corporate clients
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve business performance
- Participate in internal and external financial reporting processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA
- 3+ years of experience in corporate accounting or related role
- Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Understanding of industry-specific accounting practices
- Experience with financial modeling and data analysis
- Project management skills and experience
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Corporate Accountant position at PwC in Portland, Maine is $65,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
