Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2025 Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to release the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2025. This national-level examination is mandatory for candidates aspiring to become teachers in Central Government schools and many State Government schools.

The CTET Online Registration Form is expected to start in November 2025 and the crucial examination date is set for February 08, 2026. Candidates are advised to start preparation immediately.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

CTET Level 1 (Class 1 to 5)

Candidates generally require Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

CTET Level 2 (Class 6 to 8)

Candidates generally require a Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks AND passed or appearing in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent training qualification.

Paper 1 (Level 1: Class 1 to 5)

Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Language I (Compulsory): 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Language II (Compulsory): 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Mathematics: 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Environmental Studies: 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Total: 150 Questions, 150 Marks

Paper 2 (Level 2: Class 6 to 8)

Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Language I (Compulsory): 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Language II (Compulsory): 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies/Science: 60 Questions, 60 Marks

Total: 150 Questions, 150 Marks
