Position Summary

Sullivan & Cromwell is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Statistical Analyst to join our Data Engineering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA. As a Data Statistical Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing statistical models, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making across the firm. You will collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve our data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and implement statistical models for forecasting, predictive analytics, and data mining.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Work with business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis plans.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in data science and statistical analysis.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate with colleagues using remote communication tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and techniques, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Experience working with large datasets and databases.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Must be able to work remotely from anywhere in the United States.
  • Proven experience working effectively in a remote environment.

Technical Requirements

To be successful in this remote role, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

  • A modern computer with sufficient processing power and memory to handle data analysis tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this fully remote Data Statistical Analyst position is $90,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
