Position Summary

Hotjar is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital SEO Specialist with a strong focus on Content Creation to join our growing marketing team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA. As an SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing content strategies to improve Hotjar's organic search visibility, drive traffic to our website, and generate qualified leads. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including content writers, designers, and product marketers, to create engaging and informative content that aligns with our target audience's needs and interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify content opportunities and target relevant search terms.
• Develop and execute content strategies that align with Hotjar's overall SEO goals and business objectives.
• Create high-quality, SEO-friendly content, including blog posts, articles, website copy, case studies, infographics, and videos.
• Optimize existing content for search engines, including meta descriptions, title tags, header tags, and internal linking.
• Collaborate with content writers and designers to ensure content is engaging, visually appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines.
• Track and analyze SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, best practices, and algorithm updates.
• Identify and implement link building strategies to improve Hotjar's website authority.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and collaborate with colleagues across different time zones.
• Contribute to the development of SEO training materials and best practices for the marketing team.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SEO and content creation.
• Proven track record of improving organic search rankings and driving traffic to websites.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, techniques, and best practices.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in keyword research tools, such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent remote work skills, including time management, self-motivation, and communication.
• Must reside in the USA.
• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment and using collaboration tools like Slack and Google Workspace.

Technical Requirements

To be successful in this remote role, you will need the following:

• Dedicated home office space free from distractions.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download speed).
• Computer and necessary peripherals (webcam, microphone, etc.).

Hotjar provides a home office stipend to help you set up your remote workspace.

While Hotjar offers flexible working hours, some overlap with the Central European Time (CET) zone may be required for team meetings and collaboration.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this fully remote Digital SEO Specialist - Content Creation position is $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
