Position Summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our remote team. This role focuses on designing and implementing lighting solutions for our corporate and operational facilities, ensuring energy efficiency, aesthetic appeal, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural lighting design, technical expertise, and the ability to translate creative concepts into functional designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative lighting designs for corporate offices, data centers, and other BNY Mellon facilities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate lighting solutions into building designs.
• Utilize lighting software to create detailed plans, renderings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with energy codes, sustainability standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate lighting performance and recommend improvements.
• Prepare cost estimates and project timelines for lighting installations.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in lighting design.

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 14 years of experience in electrical or lighting design, preferably in corporate or commercial environments.
• Proficiency in lighting design software such as AGi32, Dialux, or similar tools.
• Strong technical knowledge of lighting systems, controls, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Ability to develop creative lighting concepts that align with architectural aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Required Education

A Post Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, Architecture, or a related field is required.

Desired Skills

• Experience with sustainable lighting practices and LEED certification.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
• Knowledge of smart lighting systems and IoT integration.
• Previous experience in financial or corporate facility design.

Compensation & Benefits
