Position Summary

CDW is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our remote team. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing financial audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and tax compliance, along with the ability to lead and mentor a team. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while contributing to the financial success of a dynamic and growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Lead financial audits, coordinating with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Utilize accounting software such as SAP or Oracle to streamline financial operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, financial audits, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including SAP or Oracle.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required Education

A PhD in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required for this position.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in a technology or solutions-driven industry.
  • Certification such as CPA or CMA.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modeling.
  • Experience with process improvement and automation in financial operations.

Compensation & Benefits

CDW offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $58,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, employees enjoy comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
