Position Summary
Chime is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Scrum Master - Security Systems to join our dynamic Security Systems team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. As a Full Stack Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching the team on Agile principles, and removing impediments to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, secure systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the team operates effectively, delivering value, and continuously improving its processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, for a distributed team.
- Coach the team on Agile principles and practices, promoting self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Remove impediments and blockers that hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as needed.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to refine the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
- Partner with the engineering team to ensure a smooth and efficient development process.
- Track and communicate team progress, including sprint goals, velocity, and burndown charts.
- Identify and implement improvements to team processes and workflows.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and transparency.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Agile best practices within the Chime organization.
- Support and empower the team to make informed decisions and take ownership of their work.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a full-stack development environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and remove impediments.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
- Must be a resident of the United States.
Technical Requirements
As a fully remote employee at Chime, you will be expected to maintain a professional and productive home office environment. The following technical requirements are essential:
- Dedicated workspace free from distractions.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload).
- Company-provided laptop and necessary software.
- Headset with microphone for clear communication.
- Ability to work during core collaboration hours (Pacific Time Zone strongly preferred).
Desired Skills
- Experience in the financial technology (FinTech) industry.
- Familiarity with security systems and best practices.
- Experience with DevOps principles and practices.
- Knowledge of various Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this fully remote Full Stack Scrum Master - Security Systems position is $130,000 - $160,000, depending on experience and location within the United States. This range is specific to remote roles and reflects the competitive market for remote technology talent.
