Position Summary

The Graphic Designer role at Sonoco Products is a remote, full‑time position responsible for creating compelling visual assets that support the company’s print and packaging initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute print designs for packaging, brochures, catalogs, trade show materials, and promotional collateral using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

• Prepare files for print production, including pre‑flight checks, color separations, and proofing to ensure accuracy and compliance with production specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather project requirements, provide design recommendations, and meet deadlines.
• Maintain and update the company’s visual asset library, ensuring version control and accessibility for internal stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in print production and color management.
• Provide support for ad‑hoc design requests, such as internal communications, presentations, and digital assets when needed.

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 8 years of professional experience in graphic design, with a focus on print design and production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of layout, composition, typography, and color theory.
• Demonstrated knowledge of print production processes, including offset, digital, and specialty printing techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce error‑free, print‑ready files.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret creative briefs and provide constructive feedback.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.

Required Education

A post‑graduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field is required.

Desired Skills

• Experience with packaging structural design and dieline creation.
• Familiarity with Pantone® color systems and CMYK workflow.

Compensation & Benefits
