Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Business Intelligence Analyst - Data Engineering to join our growing Data and Analytics team. This is a fully REMOTE position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States. In this role, you will be responsible for leading data engineering efforts to build and maintain robust data pipelines, develop insightful dashboards, and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define data requirements, design and implement data solutions, and ensure data quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse.
  • Build and maintain data models and data dictionaries to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau or Looker to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define data requirements for new products and features.
  • Conduct data analysis and investigations to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and analysts.
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data engineering.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Actively participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative remote work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with building and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Must be located in the United States.

Technical Requirements

  • Dedicated home office space free from distractions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 10 Mbps and download speed of 50 Mbps.
  • Company-provided laptop and necessary peripherals.
  • Ability to work during core business hours (Pacific Time preferred), with flexibility to accommodate occasional meetings outside of these hours.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with data modeling and data governance principles.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the food delivery or e-commerce industry.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this REMOTE position is $140,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and location. DoorDash offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
