Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Risk Management Specialist to join our Corporate Law team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA. As the Lead Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Disco's risk management program related to corporate legal matters. You will identify potential risks, assess their impact, and develop mitigation strategies to protect Disco's assets and reputation. You will work closely with various departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure that risk management is integrated into all aspects of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework for corporate legal matters.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to contracts, compliance, litigation, and other legal areas.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce the impact of identified risks.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on risk management principles and practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that risk management is integrated into all aspects of the business.
- Manage and maintain risk registers and other relevant documentation.
- Lead and mentor junior risk management staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in a corporate legal environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Must be located within the United States and have the ability to work during standard business hours.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Requirements
As a fully remote employee, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:

Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this remote position is $110,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience.
