Position Summary
Jones Day is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Compliance Manager - Risk Management to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. The Legal Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive compliance programs to ensure the firm's adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards. This role requires a deep understanding of legal compliance principles, risk management practices, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze changes in laws and regulations that may impact the firm's operations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Investigate potential compliance violations and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present reports on compliance activities and risk management efforts.
- Manage and maintain compliance documentation and records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, IT, and human resources, to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a positive and productive remote work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field. Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal compliance, risk management, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of legal compliance principles, including anti-money laundering, data privacy, and ethics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Technical Requirements
To ensure a seamless remote work experience, the following technical requirements must be met:
- Dedicated home office space free from distractions.

- Reliable computer with a webcam and microphone.
- Ability to work within Eastern Time Zone business hours (preferred, but flexible for candidates in other US time zones).

Compensation & Benefits
