Position Summary

Deloitte is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Technology Consultant specializing in Privacy & Data Protection to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere in the USA. As a Legal Technology Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complex landscape of privacy regulations and data protection laws by leveraging technology solutions. You will work with a team of legal and technology professionals to deliver innovative solutions that address our clients’ unique challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess client’s privacy and data protection needs and develop tailored technology solutions.
  • Implement and configure privacy technology platforms such as data discovery tools, consent management platforms, and data loss prevention (DLP) systems.
  • Advise clients on data governance frameworks, data mapping, and data minimization strategies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on privacy technology solutions for client stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest privacy regulations and technology trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, technology, and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership and knowledge sharing materials.
  • Participate in sales and business development activities.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and project teams in a virtual environment, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information technology, or law.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in privacy and data protection, with a focus on technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
  • Experience implementing and configuring privacy technology platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.

Technical Requirements

As a fully remote employee, you will be responsible for maintaining a suitable home office environment. This includes:

  • A dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • A reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload).
  • A computer meeting Deloitte's minimum technical specifications (provided upon offer).
  • A webcam and headset for virtual meetings.
  • Adherence to Deloitte's security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work during standard business hours in the Eastern Time Zone (ET). While we offer flexible working hours, core collaboration times will be within the ET time zone.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with data analytics tools and techniques.
  • Professional certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range for this fully remote Legal Technology Consultant - Privacy & Data Protection position is $90,000 - $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
