Position Summary
Auto Trader Group is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network management, troubleshooting, and security, along with relevant IT certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
- Implement and enforce network security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and IT projects.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for internal reference and compliance.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in network management, troubleshooting, and security protocols.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CCNA or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with team members.
Required Education
Others: While a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is beneficial, equivalent professional experience and certifications will be considered.
Desired Skills
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Experience in a DevOps or Agile environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Auto Trader Group offers a competitive salary range of $61,000 to $112,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and flexible work arrangements.
