Position Summary

PulteGroup is seeking a highly skilled Network Technician to join our remote IT team. This role is critical in maintaining and securing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and safeguarding sensitive data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, cybersecurity, and intrusion detection, along with the ability to manage firewalls and conduct thorough security analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain network security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Respond to and resolve network security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enforce security policies and best practices.
  • Manage and configure network hardware and software to optimize performance and security.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 10 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in intrusion detection, security analysis, and firewall management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting processes and explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Education

A PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required for this position.

Desired Skills

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with cloud security and hybrid network environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

PulteGroup offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 to $81,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
