Key Responsibilities for Painter & Decorator:
- Prepare and paint various surfaces including walls, woodwork, metalwork, and ceilings
- Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for painting
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers
- Sandpaper and apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer
- Use brushes, rollers, or spray guns to apply paint or other finishes
- Coordinate with other tradespeople to ensure a high-quality finish
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times

Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator in the construction industry
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Painting & Decorating
- Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Health and Safety certification (CSCS card)

Desired Skills:
- Experience working on construction sites
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
