Key Responsibilities For Patient Access Representative:

- Collect patient information accurately and update records in the system.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow within the facility.
- Answer incoming calls, address patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient access and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient access or related roles.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and authorization processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and patient information management.

Desired Skills:
- Certification in Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) or similar credentials.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience with GE HealthCare systems or similar healthcare technology platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging patient situations with empathy.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Patient Access Representative position at GE HealthCare in Miami, Florida is $35,000 to $45,000, commensurate with experience.
