Key Responsibilities for Property Accountant:
- Manage all aspects of property accounting for assigned properties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements related to real estate assets
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Reconcile accounts, review discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on property financial matters
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for property portfolios
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or in progress is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
Desired Skills:
- Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI)
- Knowledge of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations
- Familiarity with tax implications related to real estate transactions
- Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Property Accountant position at Deloitte in Louisville, Kentucky is $60,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
