Key Responsibilities For Public Accountant:
- Conduct financial statement audits and reviews for clients in the banking & finance sector.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present them to clients.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to clients to support their business objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting, specifically within the banking & finance industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial auditing standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with auditing software such as Caseware and IDEA.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to the banking industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Public Accountant position at KPMG in Richmond, Virginia is $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
