Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity of Etsy’s products, services, and internal processes. Reporting to the QA Manager, this remote position is responsible for designing, executing, and refining quality assurance strategies that align with Etsy’s high standards for customer experience, compliance, and operational excellence. The analyst will collaborate cross‑functionally to identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive QA processes and methodologies that support product releases, platform updates, and internal initiatives.
• Define, track, and report on quality metrics and KPIs, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct regular audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
• Lead and mentor a small team of QA specialists, fostering a collaborative environment focused on high performance and professional growth.
• Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed quality considerations early in the development lifecycle.
• Identify root causes of defects and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce recurrence and enhance overall efficiency.
• Prepare detailed documentation, including test plans, test cases, and audit reports, ensuring transparency and traceability.
• Stay current with emerging QA tools, techniques, and best practices, recommending adoption where beneficial.

Required Qualifications

• 1 to 13 years of experience in quality assurance, with a proven track record of implementing QA processes and methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in establishing and monitoring quality metrics and KPIs.
• Strong background in audit and compliance activities, including risk assessment and remediation.
• Experience leading or managing a QA team, with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
• Hands‑on experience driving continuous improvement initiatives using data‑driven approaches.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with QA tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Selenium) and data analysis platforms (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with distributed teams.

Required Education

Other relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in quality assurance, engineering, information systems, or a related field.

Desired Skills

• Certification such as ISTQB, CQA, or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of e‑commerce platforms and marketplace dynamics.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $96,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
