Position Summary

Credit Karma is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regulatory Alternative Legal Services Provider specializing in Risk Management to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in supporting Credit Karma's regulatory compliance efforts. You will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our products and services, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of risk management strategies and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting risk assessments of new and existing products, features, and business initiatives.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and providing guidance on their potential impact on Credit Karma.
  • Developing and maintaining risk management policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with the implementation of controls to mitigate identified risks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including legal, product, engineering, and marketing, to ensure compliance.
  • Providing support for regulatory examinations and audits.
  • Preparing reports and presentations on risk management activities.
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of our risk management framework.
  • Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in risk management.
  • Participating in virtual team meetings and contributing to a collaborative remote work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or Juris Doctor (JD) degree a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or legal roles within the financial services or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of consumer protection laws and regulations, including FCRA, TCPA, and UDAAP.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
  • Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.

Compensation & Benefits
