Position Summary

Lyft is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Legal Analyst to join our growing legal team. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States. The Regulatory Legal Analyst will focus on employment law matters, assisting the legal team with research, analysis, and compliance initiatives. This role is critical in ensuring Lyft's adherence to complex employment regulations across various states and jurisdictions. The successful candidate will be a proactive and resourceful individual with strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for ensuring compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Analyze employment-related policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and training materials.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting employment law and provide updates to the legal team.
  • Support the legal team in responding to employee inquiries and resolving employment-related issues.
  • Prepare legal documents, including memos, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and compliance, on employment-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of research and compliance activities.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.
  • Support the team with special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance or legal analysis, preferably with a focus on employment law.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Technical Requirements

As a remote employee at Lyft, you will be required to have:

  • A dedicated home office space free from distractions.
  • Reliable high-speed internet access (minimum 50 Mbps download speed).
  • A computer with a webcam and microphone for video conferencing.
  • Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.

Compensation & Benefits
