Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented BI Developer to join our distributed team remotely. As a Remote BI Developer at Square, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions to drive data-driven decisions and enhance organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement BI solutions to transform complex data into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver BI solutions that meet business needs.
- Design and optimize data models and databases to support BI initiatives.
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance existing BI systems to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for remote team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
Technical Requirements:
- Dedicated home office with high-speed internet connection.
- Proficient in remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
- Flexible working hours with the ability to accommodate team meetings across different time zones.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based BI platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Proven track record of delivering BI solutions in a remote work setting.
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000, commensurate with experience.
