Position Summary

NerdWallet is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Quantitative Analyst - Statistical Analysis to join our growing Data & Analytics team. As a Senior Quantitative Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving data-informed decisions across the organization. You will be responsible for developing and applying advanced statistical models to analyze user behavior, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve our products and services. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of user behavior, website performance, and marketing campaigns to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
  • Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of new features and strategies.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences through clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to define key metrics and develop data-driven strategies.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data science.
  • Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to a collaborative remote work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a quantitative analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of statistical modeling techniques, including regression analysis, time series analysis, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience with statistical programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Must be located in the United States.

Technical Requirements

As a fully remote position, the following technical requirements are essential:

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload/download speed of 25 Mbps.
  • Dedicated home office space free from distractions.
  • Company-provided equipment, including a laptop, monitor, and other necessary peripherals. A home office stipend will be provided to assist with setup.
  • Ability to work during core business hours in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to facilitate collaboration with team members.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000, depending on experience and qualifications. NerdWallet offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
