Key Responsibilities For Sous Chef:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with Marriott UK's standards
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as required
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Contribute to menu planning and development
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a busy kitchen environment
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Catering or Culinary Arts
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills

Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Sous Chef position at Marriott UK in Nottingham, East Midlands, is £25,000 to £30,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
