Key Responsibilities For State & Local Tax Analyst (SALT):
- Conduct research and analysis on state and local tax laws and regulations
- Assist in preparing state income, franchise, sales, and use tax returns
- Support clients in tax planning and compliance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to clients
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in state and local tax compliance and consulting
- Strong knowledge of state and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
Desired Skills:
- CPA or Master's degree in Taxation
- Experience working in a professional services firm
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation & Benefits:
