Key Responsibilities For Tax Director:
- Lead and manage a team of tax professionals in providing high-quality tax services to clients
- Develop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' business goals and objectives
- Oversee tax compliance, planning, and consulting services for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Stay current on tax laws and regulations, advising clients on tax implications and opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on all tax-related matters
- Collaborate with other EY service lines to deliver integrated solutions to clients
- Drive business development initiatives, identify opportunities for growth, and contribute to revenue generation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax consulting or compliance, preferably in a public accounting firm
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical expertise in federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations
- Ability to analyze complex tax issues, provide strategic advice, and deliver innovative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships and drive business development efforts
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree (e.g., MST, JD) or additional professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CMA)
- Experience working with clients in the technology, healthcare, or financial services industries
- Knowledge of tax technology tools and software for enhanced efficiency and client service
- Ability to lead and contribute to thought leadership initiatives, publications, and speaking engagements
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual salary range for the Tax Director position at EY in Seattle, Washington is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $150,000 to $200,000.
