Role and Responsibilities
As a Member, you will play a vital role in executing the NLRC-WICCI mandate, which focuses on justice, legal aid, and monitoring rights violations at the state level.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Council President and Vice President to develop a unified strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the state.
- Advocacy & Outreach: Lead community education efforts, spotlight best practices, and engage the public on legal rights and empowerment.
- Policy Development: Develop specific policy recommendations, partnership concepts, and proposals to influence state legislators and government agencies.
- Monitoring & Support: Diligently monitor the legal landscape, provide legal assistance through the advocates’ network, and promptly report violations.
Eligibility Criteria
This opportunity is exclusively for women with a strong drive for legal advocacy in Rajasthan:
- Residency: Must either be a resident of Rajasthan or studying at an Institution located in Rajasthan.
- Education: Currently enrolled Law students from a Bar Council of India recognized university/college.
- Skills: Proficiency in legal writing, drafting, and a demonstrated interest in human rights or constitutional law.
- Other Experience: Prior internship experience (legal firms, organizations) and skills in social media/public relations are highly preferred.
- Commitment: Must be willing to dedicate sufficient time to NLRC activities, including regular meetings and community engagement.
