Required Academic Tutor & Behavioral Coach - Imperial Beach, CA

Club Xcite is seeking a dedicated Academic Tutor and Behavioral Coach to provide personalized, one-on-one support to students and their families. This role is integral in delivering our innovative educational services, focusing on academic tutoring, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning skills development. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and compassionate professional committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver direct, one-on-one coaching and tutoring sessions tailored to each client's academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Develop and prepare customized lesson plans for each coaching session.

Maintain regular and proactive communication with families regarding session details, student progress, and scheduling.

Accurately track and report client progress using the company's goal-tracking portal.

Submit worked hours and manage availability promptly in the designated online system (TutorCruncher).

Commit to a minimum of six months with each assigned client to ensure consistency and progress.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field.

A minimum of two years of professional experience working with children or adolescents facing behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.

Availability to work at least three weekdays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM; morning and weekend hours are a plus.

Exceptional personal organization and time management skills.

Proficiency with online management platforms and strong communication skills across various mediums (in-person, email, etc.).

Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team.

Must possess a reliable source of transportation and a valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion prior to commencing client services.

Schedule & Hours

This is a part-time position designed for professionals seeking flexibility, such as teachers and mental health practitioners. Typical weekly hours range from 3 to 10, with opportunities for increased hours, involvement in seasonal camps, and social groups.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive hourly wage of $25 - $35.
